Who likes Buckles?

For anyone who is not familiar with the subject - Buckles is a dog from the comic strip in a free every day METRO newspaper [England, that is]. But also can be found here.

Anyway, couple of days ago J brought me a present - new Buckles comic strip torn out of Metro. What a treat for a fan! When I saw it straight away I thought of how recently I tried to explain to my friend, how J hates muffins&cupcakes [I know some people will raise their eyebrows with disbelieve, but it is true...]. And this illustrates it perfectly!

Talking about Buckles - I love this dog! I must say that I was unaware of it until J started commuting with me and show me this page full of pure wisdom, you can learn every day from.
I think we both like Buckles because he is real. Not only his behavior is [sometimes] similar to J's, but more importantly he is the exact copy of my dog Bey, who died few years ago. His official name in the certificate was BB King. Bey was the short, every day version, but he was known to friends as Misiu [for anyone who is not Polish read: Meeshoo], which means a "baby bear". He was my best friend...

me & Misiu

When it comes to baths - he reacted identically as Buckles!
He sensed [or rather he heard us talking about it, because he did understand everything, apart from politics, which he was not interested in] the bath coming for a mile.
It was always on a sunny day, so all the dogs [there were three at that time living at my mums - Bey, Aza, the nicest, and Bolek, the most independent] could get a bit cooler and also could dry out quickly without catching any colds.
Bey ALWAYS needed to be the first, as otherwise he would completely chicken out. He always waited behind the house's corner looking at the preparations of the horror scene. Then he needed to be drugged into the middle of a small lawn. All needed to be fast as Bey was not keen [obviously] of taking part in this humiliating activity for long.
After a bath though he was the happiest and coolest dog ever like he was trying to say that it was not a big deal! He was very comforting to Aza and Bolek, but to be honest, they were not that bothered, although to say they liked it it would be a big overstatement!

So, yeah, start reading the Buckles' comic now! Have fun!
